lockdown in Chinatown

Thailand has tightened restrictions on some businesses in the city, after making progress in containing the coronavirus in the past, including hawkers’ paradise of Bangkok’s Chinatown.

The government negatively received stats regarding the backsliding with a new set of lockdown rules, allowing food stalls and restaurants to reopen outside malls, but denying shops the ability to offer alcohol and food on premises.

In fact, from Sunday 2 of May all restaurants and stalls can only sell take-away food.
